Today's daily update from South Africa, and we begin with snow on the Swartberge today outside Oudtshoorn. Cold weather and snow from the cold front moving across South Africa Today. Next, big waves and rough seas at Gordon's Bay! We stay over at Ebenhaeser Guest House overlooking the Nahoon River in East London. Ballito Pro at Willards Beach. Shongweni Dam reserve, Umzinyathi Canoe club. We were there when the Ravos Rail arrived in Waterval Boven today. Repairs to the causeway at Aston Bay to Paradise Beach! We’ll also take you to a farm outside Bedford on top of the mountain, looking towards Somerset East. Finally, a beautiful day at St Helena Bay.

The weather forecast across South Africa today is as follows: On 27 June 2025, South Africa today is under the influence of a cold front, resulting in various weather conditions. In the Western Cape Province, including Cape Town, expect scattered showers and light rain in the morning, improving by the afternoon. The Eastern Cape Province may see isolated morning showers, while KwaZulu-Natal Province is likely to experience morning rain, especially along the coast. Snow is anticipated in high-lying areas of the Cape provinces and Lesotho. The South African Weather Service has issued yellow level 2 warnings for damaging waves along the coast from Plettenberg Bay to Cape Vidal and for damaging coastal winds from Plettenberg Bay to Kosi Bay. Temperatures are expected to be cold, with sub-zero conditions in the interior and widespread frost. A second front will bring scattered showers to Cape Town and morning rain to parts of KwaZulu-Natal Province. Impact-based warnings include: Yellow Level 2: Damaging waves may affect coastal infrastructure and beach activities between Plettenberg Bay and Cape Vidal. Yellow Level 2: Damaging winds could disrupt small harbors and local navigation between Plettenberg Bay and Kosi Bay. Yellow Level 1: Disruptive snow may cause icy roads and impact vulnerable livestock and crops in parts of the Eastern Cape Province.
